Since tattoos had claimed popularity all over the world, finding tattoos in almost all parts of the body is nothing to be surprised of anymore. You can see tattoos in the face, arms, legs, back, buttocks, necks, and everywhere else in the bodies of people all over the world. Bracelet tattoos, for instance, are no longer confined to the wrists because ankle bracelet tattoos have become popular, too.

Ankle bracelet tattoos are a fabulous way of adorning your legs and at the same time showing it off. This is especially popular among women because this adds to the sexual appeal of their ankle while wearing high-heeled shoes and sandals. The creativeness of tattoo artists have resulted to the advent of numerous attractive designs for bracelet tattoos that can be wrapped around your ankle and it may even extend onto your foot.

Vines are the most popular in ankle bracelet tattoos because the design can be created to follow the natural curves of your ankle. You can even add colorful flowers, insects or butterflies to complete the picture. Aside from vines, other popular designs include tribal pieces as well as knots like those of celtic ones. Barbed wire designs also look fabulous.

Each individual has his own preference in the size of the ankle bracelet tattoos. One person may want a dainty chain that could look like a real anklet if seen from a distance while others may prefer a much bigger tattoo. This depends on the personal preference and may vary from one person to another.

You can choose to have ankle bracelet tattoos in either ankle, whatever you prefer and you could decide on the color of the tattoo. The tattoo artist is there to put the tattoo on your body but you have to make the choice on what tattoo to put. The tattoo artist however may recommend appropriate colors for any particular tattoos. For example if you choose a tribal piece, you could go for black. Other bracelet tattoos are done in grey, black or vibrant colors but again, this is a personal preference.

Your tolerance for pain is a factor to be considered when you go for ankle tattoos. If you place the anklet closer to the ankle bone, you can expect to be hurt and if you decide to extend the tattoo to your foot, this might hurt even more. Feel free to talk to the tattoo artist and get his opinions because he is well-versed in this field than you probably are.

As soon as your ankle bracelet tattoos are in place, you should use aftercare treatments. If you have had several tattoos in your body already, you probably already know what to do but if it is your first time, ask advice from the tattoo artist. Taking aftercare caution could help you suffer less scabbing and faster healing time.

If your tattoos are still raw, you may need to avoid wearing shoes, socks and pants that will rub on the tattoo because this can cause irritation and possible color loss. You may go for wearing shorts until your tattoos are healed. Your ankle bracelet tattoos may be tender for a couple of days or more and you may even experience swelling and pain while walking. If you can have a few days off, that would be a great help.
